Chisholm's gorgeous crystal BLUE eye. When I went to see him and his sister Sunday's Cupcake for the first time, when he turned to look at me with this blue eye, I was hooked....my heart melted and I knew he was my new baby. Chisholm had foundered on grass while at the HORSE TRADER'S place who bought him from the family of the original old man that owned and raised Chis and Cupcake. The old man died and his family sold him to a heartless horse trader who let him founder, and took them to a local auction where horses are sold by the pound that are lame. Well, poor Chisholm was limping due to severe lamanitis and was bought by the KILL BUYER. It makes me want to faint to think this wonderful, smart animal was bound for slaughter. He has a forever home with me and in my heart. Today Sunday October 18, 2009 is the 1 year anniversary of Chisholm coming home from his 11 week stay at the trainers.

Today Chisholm went for his 1st trailer ride in 1 year. He went with Harley and I to practice for the Color Guard entry at the Women and Horses Expo next month. He was a very good boy, loaded and stayed in the trailer, stood tied while Harley and I practiced, and let me "pony" him back to the trailer.....2 milestones. I am so HAPPY. Chisy went bye bye like a big boy! LOL

Harley and I rode together in the Watonga Cheese Festival Parade on Saturday Oct 10. It was soooo cold. 46 degrees, overcast skies, and a 30 mph North wind. Brrrrr

Harley was a very good boy. He was a perfect parade horse. Walked slowly, stopped and parked out well, and even did a little "dance" when the crowd cheered. Isn't he cute?

Welcome to my blog ! This will be my adventures with my beloved horses.
